People were ‘fearful’ in lockdown

Infectious disease expert Peter Collignon says people were “fearful” as they didn’t know “which way” things would go during the COVID lockdowns.

Mr Collignon said people didn’t know what would happen in the early months of the pandemic.

“But interestingly, in all the states in Australia, during that first lock-down, closing the borders I think was a very good idea,” he told Sky News Australia.

“But whether you let you know zero people visit you, or two people, or ten people, didn’t seem to make any difference.”
