One million people expected to attend Hajj pilgrimage

One million people are expected to take part in the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ritual begins on July 7 for five days in the city of Mecca and is attended by Muslims from around the world.

This year marks an increase from last year’s limit of 60,000 people.
